Iron Mountain is looking for an experienced Principal Salesforce Architect with strong experience in Salesforce CPQ, billing, and platform-related technologies. This role is responsible for providing overall ownership regarding architecture, strategies, and techniques for the CPQ and billing product solutions. Will be working closely with Business, System Integrators, and IT Sales and Billing scrum team members to detail and ensure product solutions support business needs, follow strong architectural principles and serve as a technical & thought leader for CPQ and Billing solutions in Iron Mountain.
The candidate should have solid experience in implementing new Salesforce CPQ and billing solutions and migrating from legacy Billing solutions to Salesforce Billing. Candidate should have a strong understanding of CPQ and billing processes & operations as they apply to subscriptions, perpetual licensing, order orchestration, provisioning & activation, revenue recognition, invoice generation, taxation, payment processing & GL concepts. The candidate will be customer-focused, highly collaborative and constantly seek input to ensure success. The candidate should be ready to get their hands dirty and jump in and troubleshoot/optimize CPQ configurations, write code/troubleshoot if necessary (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, front end web technologies & data migration). The candidate must have SAFe Agile knowledge in previous implementations. The candidate will work very closely with other platforms enterprise architects to ensure a working end-to-end solution. Other platforms include Oracle, Enterprise Data Platform as middleware, Operating Systems, and other platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution design and implementation of Opportunity to Cash solutions using Salesforce CPQ and billing
Comprehensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including technical and functional capabilities; ability to execute on highly complex or specialized projects.
Oversight of multiple system integrators, Scrum teams & vendors involved with Salesforce configuration and development work.
For each PI ( Product Increment ), identify the key technical enablers needed and work with the scrum team solution architects to groom and refine these technical enabler features
Participate in the development of architectures, strategies, and policies around data governance, including master data management, metadata management, data quality and data profiling.
Document as-is and to-be architecture solutions. Present complex solutions options and benefits to key technical program stakeholders.
Conduct Solution Architecture reviews with project teams prior to design and development activities and ensures the solution is scalable, is aligned with vendor roadmaps and meets customers’ business requirements.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations to Leads and developers on CPQ solutions and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology, or in a related field.
10 + years of Experience in architecting and designing full-stack solutions using Salesforce Platform.
5 + years of Experience in architecting and designing CPQ and Billing solutions on Salesforce platforms such as Salesforce CPQ, Apttus CPQ, Oracle CPQ. Experience in Salesforce CPQ and Billing is a Must.
Experience in Salesforce implementation skills with good command on Apex programming, Controllers, Triggers, Configuration, Visual force, controllers, triggers, batch processes, lightning, SOQL, REST APIs and web services.
Extensive knowledge of product configuration, complex pricing rules & sequence, quote configurator plugins & Salesforce CPQ APIs.
Proficiency in various CPQ functionalities like perpetual and subscription-based licensing, seasonal licensing, amendments, extensions, co-terming, and renewals.
Experience with quote document generation and integration with DocuSign.
Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
Excellent communication skills, comfortable with crafting emails as leading a white-board discussion with stakeholders or delivering a functional demo.
