The Salesforce Manager will be responsible for the Salesforce platform and leading the Salesforce platform team. You will partner with multiple business departments to help design, develop and deliver purpose-driven solutions in Salesforce to drive business capabilities, reporting, productivity and efficiency


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Manages a team of Salesforce developers and administrators

  • Designs, develops, tests, documents and deploys high-quality business solutions on the SFDC platform based on industry best practices as well as business needs

  • Leads technical design sessions that are aligned with the company's business objectives

  • Leads implementations covering Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Force.com, Chatter & App-exchange applications.

  • Uses SFDC experience working in Visualforce, Lightning/Communities, APEX coding, Process Builder, Triggers, Workflows, Flows, CSS, HTML, Templates, Custom coding, and Web Services

  • Applies Lightning development experience including lightning design, components, Aura Framework, JavaScript, and Server-side components

  • Integrates Salesforce.com with other applications via real-time, batch and sync/async

  • Manages integrations using both Web based technologies (Soap, Rest) and Integration/Middleware tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud, Mulesoft, Boomi, Jitterbit and similar technologies

  • Manages consultants, vendors and business systems contracts

  • Utilizes best practices in software development, agile delivery and ensuring solutions meet user specifications and achieve business objectives

  • Leads, communicates and manages product changes ensuring sustainability of process and performance enhancement • Develops and manages budget to ensure required resources are available

  • Manages large-scale company-wide projects

  • Clarifies complex information and communicates said information effectively to other BUs

  • Demonstrates clear and measurable results through the development of KPIs, goals and milestones

  • Provides effective performance feedback to direct reports by establishing clear goals and expectations, including adherence to standards and hold reports accountable for results

  • Drives innovation and best practices, standardization and simplification in all aspects of work

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Knowledge and Skills



  • Demonstrated understanding of Salesforce.com architecture and API's

  • Understanding of Salesforce Sales, Service and Health Clouds, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and integration technologies

  • Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and front-end web technologies

  • Expertise in Salesforce core languages: Apex (language, triggers, classes, web services); Visualforce (pages and components); Lightning components and SOQL

  • Experience with data loader and process builder

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to build business cases for technology initiatives and to effectively communicate the value proposition to non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong oral, written, and presentation abilities and able to convey risk to all levels of the business, from C-level executives to operations and development teams

  • Customer focused, highly collaborative and constantly seeking input to ensure success

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to identify areas of focus and tackle new challenges with or without direction

  • Must be able to make strategically sound decisions in varied situations while working with a demanding population and competing priorities

  • Delivery focused and accountable for projects and strategic initiatives

  • Competency in project management and agile methodologies to manage a portfolio of projects in progress

  • Experience leading teams, developing employees and proving employee feedback

  • Ability to work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Ability to build rapport with other IT team members and engage with business teams

  • Demonstrates analytical skills and judgement to solve problems and make decisions in a rapidly changing environment

  • Advanced computer knowledge with Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Competency in project management and agile methodologies to manage a portfolio of projects in progress


Experience and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent with a master's degree preferred

  • 5+ years of experience managing Salesforce administration and platform development teams

  • Previous experience as a Salesforce platform developer

  • 5+ years of experience using third party resources (onshore/offshore), managing vendors, and vendor contracts

  • 5+ years of experience with enterprise integration solutions (Oracle Integration Cloud, Boomi, MuleSoft, Jitterbit)

  • 5+ years of experience working with business systems and leading teams to deliver value to the organization.

  • 5+ years of experience with relational databases and data models.

  • Experience in the healthcare and pharmacy industry preferred but not required
