As a Salesforce DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for Salesforce integrated projects while working with globally dispersed teams (including Developers, Product Managers, QEs, and Support) to implement solutions for DevOps business requirements. You will also work to brainstorm and identify automation opportunities to allow for easier, more efficient processes and activities.
Additional Information – New York Only*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
In accordance with New York law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York is $100k-$150k/year & benefits (see below).
Responsibilities
- Set up continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines primarily for Salesforce integrated projects
- Ensure all Salesforce updates move from development through staging to production seamlessly through automation
- Implement solutions for ongoing/new DevOps requirements through geographically dispersed teams
- Environment provisioning, sandbox management, data management
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, QE, and Support Teams to support ongoing environment, code move, release management process
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring activities and identifying long-term options, such as self-service
- Champion the mindset of DevOps and Agile within the team to achieve business benefits including faster time to market, faster ROI, predictable release cadence, optimized delivery times, cost optimization, risk reduction
- In addition to being a senior contributor, also provide technical leadership and guidance for the DevOps team
- Act as escalation point and be available to support weekend releases as needed
Requirements
You are:
- Equipped with 5+ years of Salesforce administration, release management, or developer experience
- Able to read, interpret and write Apex, SQL/SOQL/SAQL code
- Experienced within Salesforce Service Cloud (Certified Administrator, Certified Developer)
- Able to design processes that are efficient and solutions that are scalable
- An excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to learn quickly
- A results-oriented, highly organized individual who can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Coming from a technical background in Development/Sysadmin/Automation (a must!)
- Experienced in the following: Languages (Apex), Database Technologies (SQL, SOQL), Scripting (Shell, batch), SF Deployment (SFDX, Change sets, SF Metadata API), Version control tools (Git, Bitbucket), Build Automation tools (AutoRabit, Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven, Apache Ant), Project tracking tools (Jira), Additional Skills (Experience in any programming language (Python, Java), test automation, AWS cloud, Code coverage, Unit testing)
It would be great if you also had:
- Experience in Investment Banking and/or Global Markets (Equities and Fixed Income)
- Salesforce Certifications
- Experience with Salesforce Communities Setup and Configurations
