Core Function:


This role is performed by providing Output Management Services to support external and internal accounts. Activities include providing primary output support for Mainframe systems. Job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Daily monitoring of the print queues to manage capacity, manage client issues via calls, emails, or trouble tickets, manage change tickets via online tools, work in coordination with the client's technical support and the Helpdesk, assist with software and system upgrades, and provide support to special projects and migrations as requested. After hours support is required.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must maintain accountability of client output management at all times.

  • Must have a solid working knowledge of Mainframe print software.

  • System technical skills needed to provide support multiple mainframe environments.

  • Administrative skills needed to maintain printer definitions, process work orders, and change requests.

  • Mainframe installation, configurations, applications integration, and deployment.

  • Knowledge of recommendations for optimizing system performance for capacity and volume forecasting activities designed to always ensure system resources availability.

  • Knowledgeable of planning activities related to upgrades, development testing, systems architecture and migration planning.

  • Understand the tools to process incidents and service requests.

  • Assist with Disaster Recovery exercises.


Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:



  • Advanced skill level in z/OS or MVS Systems Programming -- installations and upgrades

  • Additional Knowledge helpful: VPS, CA Spool, LRS

  • Skillful with system programming; problem determination, and MVS Mainframe support.

  • Able to apply & maintain license keys.

  • Advanced technical support for Print Disaster Recovery Testing

  • Able to work in a team environment and able to work independently with minimal Management supervision.

  • Good writing & communication skills are a must
