As a Team Lead of Growth Account Management at Podium, you will have a unique opportunity to build the Account Management function and motivate a team to increase the health of current customers as well as expand the base. This team will own a significant book of Podium’s current small business customers and build the processes and benchmarks for account expansion while mitigating customer churn.  You will be equally motivated by a customer obsessed mentality as well as a desire to help your team close expansion business.


What you will be doing:



  • Lead and inspire a team of Account Managers to successfully help individual contributors spearhead the growth & activation of small business accounts at Podium

  • Understand, achieve and exceed team monthly and quarterly metrics including quota churn, expansion, customer health, and increased ARR

  • Drive team to strategically manage their book of business to both uncover expansion opportunities from existing customers as well as proactively work with customers to maintain strong customer health

  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on team sales and revenue performance to give greater visibility for the senior leadership team

  • Guide team to grow customer health through proactive outreach prior to renewals, decreasing churn within the team’s book of business

  • Leverage and coordinate cross-functional internal teams (Legal, Engineering, Security, Marketing, Product) to efficiently navigate complex sales cycles as well as current customer needs

  • Collaborate with leadership across Onboarding, Support and others to optimize clear roles and responsibilities for Account Managers and other team as they interact with current customers

  • Develop and coach a team that can effectively evangelize the Podium story 

  • Coach the team on aligning Podium’s solutions with our customer’s needs, driving increased lifetime value for each customer and across the entire customer base

  • Work with your counterpart Team Lead to develop and test new processes to improve team efficiency and performance

  • Conduct regular coaching and career development conversations with team members to ensure on-target performance and confidence in career growth opportunities

  • Take part in the interviewing, hiring, training, and scale of your team

  • Lead with a high level of transparency and proactively address tough conversations where required


What you should have:



  • 4+ years account executive or account management experience

  • 2+ years experience managing direct reports

  • Demonstrated team leadership experience, preferably managing Account Managers, Customer Success Manager, or Inside Sales Representatives

  • Experience managing a sales forecast and reporting updates regularly to leadership

  • Proven experience motivating others and leading a top performing team

  • Leadership/managerial experience within a B2B, SaaS environment is highly preferred

  • Consistent over-achievement in past and current positions

  • Passion for modernizing the way business happens locally and empowering SMBs 

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills 

  • Highly organized and strong time management skills 

  • Ability to work in fast paced, changing environment with minimal direction 

  • Self driven, motivated and results oriented

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
