Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this leader will be accountable for the overall success of the Email Solutions business at Validity.  This will include business planning, driving new customer revenue through enterprise sales, channel partners, and webstore, increasing net revenue retention, and managing healthy margins. They will create and maintain a business-aligned roadmap to support Validity’s growth in the email deliverability segment of the MarTech industry.  Leveraging close relationships with other members of Validity’s Executive Leadership Team, the person in this position will work cross-functionally to oversee the teams responsible for delivering value-add solutions, eliminating roadblocks, and creating value through thought leadership and operational improvements.

About the Role

They will create and maintain a business-aligned roadmap to support Validity’s growth in the email deliverability segment of the MarTech industry.  Leveraging close relationships with other members of Validity’s Executive Leadership Team, the person in this position will work cross-functionally to oversee the teams responsible for delivering value-add solutions, eliminating roadblocks, and creating value through thought leadership and operational improvements. 


Position Duties and Responsibilities



  • Lead, own and manage the Validity Email Solutions business with full P&L responsibility, including tracking and forecasting growth metrics (revenue, retention, and customer count), competitive market share, and expansion

  • Actively manage and report monthly on the results of each email solution, which includes Everest, Certification, BriteVerify, MailCharts, Sender Score, Reputation Network, Sensor Networks, Feedback Loops, and Validity’s other deliverability products

  • Articulate a compelling vision of how our point solutions and platforms complement each other and align with all stages of the customer lifecycle from awareness through advocacy

  • Directly engage with customers of all sizes as an SME when challenges with product utilization, technological constraints, adoption, retention or expansion arise

  • Frequently present vision, strategy, roadmap and progress to the Executive Leadership Team, the organization, and customer groups

  • Participate in and proactively manage all aspects of pricing and packaging of Email Solutions

  • Oversee sunsetting legacy solutions to gain R&D, Service, and Sales efficiencies

  • Co-own all GTM launch activities with Marketing, operating as the front face for the email solutions and the business both internally and externally

  • Partner closely with the Corporate Development team to identify and evaluate potential additional acquisitions into the Validity family

  • Lead the product effort to simplify the customer journey from issue identification, to insight, to action


Required Experience, Skills, and Education



  • 10+ years experience in product management or business operations with a proven track record of building impactful MarTech solutions on a global scale

  • 5+ years experience managing teams that deliver or use email deliverability solutions

  • Deep experience working with qualitative customer insights and quantitative customer data to assess and inform decision-making

  • Ability to speak the language of developers and engineers, independently conduct data analysis, and produce reporting visualizations

  • Sound knowledge of the digital marketer’s jobs-to-be-done and solutions landscape, including how they make decisions, how they deploy communications, and how they optimize conversions

  • Demonstrated experience managing products at all stages of the product life cycle

  • Have strong business judgment to make the right assumptions to drive desired outcomes

  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail

  • Able to deal tactfully, respectfully, and effectively with a diverse array of individuals; develops and communicates logical, convincing reasons, including lessons learned, to build support for one's viewpoints and actions. Involves others in decisions and plans that affect them, when appropriate, but confident enough to move forward where consensus is not needed

  • Conveys a sense of urgency in ways that motivate others to complete responsibilities and achieve our collective goals

  • The role will be based in our Boston, MA or Broomfield, CO office, with occasional travel to other Validity offices and conferences worldwide
